Quinta de São Francisco vineyards are planted on steep slopes of clayish soils, facing west and south.
The varieties found on these vineyards are:
White - Arinto, Alvarinho and Fernão Pires
Red – Castelão, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Syrah, Aragonez, Petit Verdot, Calladoc and Cabernet Sauvignon

Grapes from this estate reach high degree of ripeness, giving rise to excellent liquor wines.
